Breathwork Journeying is known by various names, such as Vivation, and Rebirthing, depending on the school of thought of the practitioner. Dr. Stanislav Grof, who is the most prolific writer of the methodology calls it Holotropic Breathwork.
It is popularized information that we can have profound, transformative, journeys on shamanic plant medicines, and on lab created psychedelics. It is less recognized in the modern culture that we have an innate ability to journey. Breathwork Journeying is an experience of transformational journeying without any supplement or external source of the journey. For 20 years I ran breathwork journeying workshops monthly; people experience an altered state of consciousness that yields a working through of what has been unprocessed, and opens one to a new perception that allows for a deeper connection to self, and a more robust engagement with life.
I have had people who’ve experienced chronic pain, no longer have that pain, a person who’s frequent emergency room visits for asthma was putting her job at risk writing me 6 months later that she hadn’t had another asthma attack, a man suffering chronic depression relieved of that depression from a journey opening him to memories of his mother who died when he was quite young, radiant with love for him, to give you a few examples of what I mean by profound change.
For many these journeys result in a mystical experience, a more direct sense of connection with Spirit, that informs a more embodied sense of Purpose, of the Who-I-Am, and Who-I-Am-Here-Becoming.
